The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, built on three distinct layers of British wool from surface to core. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose, pairing softness with durability so the fabric remains comfortable through decades of use. A layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides immediate give and allows air to move freely, moderating temperature overnight, while a deeper layer of British fleece wool adds depth and resilience to maintain a consistent surface over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, each coil occupying its own calico pocket to respond independently to weight. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, a key reason it is used throughout the range. Available in four tensions—Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm—with King sizes split for different sleeping preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching secure the border coils to the edge, and hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings to prevent lateral shift and preserve evenness for years of use.
